Updo Hairstyles for Long Hair
|
Some people are blessed with gorgeous flowing long locks. The eternal debate of whether or not to grow your
hair out might never be answered. What it all boils down to is how comfortable your length of hair makes you
feel. We believe that having longer hair opens many more opportunities for the perfect
updo.
While there might be no such thing as the perfect updo, we can only strive to get as close to perfection as
possible. It is extremely important to remember that going with an updo is always a great choice. There
are many different updo hairstyles that can be crafted with longer hair. Once again, the updo can be as
simple or ornate as you choose it to be. The following are two of our favorite updo hairstyles for long
hair.
Easy Sassy Summer Long Hair Updo
Have you ever had one of those days when the temperatures are sizzling hot and all you can think about is
getting your long hair up and out away from your face? Of course you have (unless you live in
Antarctica!). The perfect solution is an easy sassy summer updo. This look should give you the
practicality and style to feel great and look spectacular.
To achieve this look, simply create a bun towards the back of your head. Keep the hair on the front of
your head fairly tight to keep the hair from coming undone. It is really a personal preference on where to
create the bun regarding the head position. We have seen some really fantastic updo hairstyles for long hair
where the bun will sit almost directly on top of the head. From here, you can create a sassy look by using
some product (sparingly) and fanning out the hair strands to create the desired look. The styling of the bun
is a little bit easier with thinner hair but can also be achieved with thicker hair. This long hair updo
hairstyle is a great option for a summer party, beach trip, or just lounging by the pool on a sunny summer Sunday
afternoon.
Elegant Half Down Long Hair Updo
Another great updo hairstyle for long hair is the elegant half down long hair
updo. Some famous longhaired celebs have been seen with these updos. Jessica Alba, Eva Longoria and
Vanessa Hudgens are three Hollywood beauties that have worn fantastic half down updos with their long
locks.
To achieve this look you can put the hair up in back with a bun or fancy twist. The styling in the front
can be crafted to get the desired graceful look. Keeping the front bouncy will give a more casual look while
adding subtle braids or even a stunning accessory will give the updo a majestic feel.
Another option is the tightness of the front part of the updo. A tighter pull usually adds to the elegance
but adjusting the tension will open up more possibilities for that unique look that you desire. We understand
that the longer and thicker the hair, the more work the updo might become. We also believe that the longer
and thicker the hair, the better your updo can be!
As always, remember that the creating of a great long hair updo is essentially an art form in itself and there
are many options to choose from!
