Jessica Simpson Updo

We’ve seen a lot of different hairstyles from Jessica over the years but none are more memorable than her fabulous updos.  Whether for wedding, prom or any formal event, Jessica’s updos are sure to provide inspiration for all hair types.

From her days as a young country singer to her realty show stardom to her success on the big screen, Jessica has been in the spotlight and analyzed for nearly a decade. She has been a trendsetter with every new look she wears and will continue to do so this decade.   Her hairstyles have ranged from long and straight to medium and curly to short bobs.   Her updos are obviously our favorite and we have included our favorites below.

This is a fabulous prom hairstyle that is elegant and flirty.  A perfect combination for your big night!  The straight bangs coupled with the framing curls accentuate her square face shape and gorgeous smile.

Jessica is most known for her long locks and bountiful curls.  She’s even been prone to add extensions to achieve even more hair volume for her updos.  The curls in the image below bounce ever so gently over the pulled up bun.  Giving a slight glimpse of her neckline is a perfect complement to the strapless gown she’s wearing.  This is another excellent prom hairstyle that those with longer hair should consider.

Here Jessica wears a tightly pulled back updo tied up in a Chignon.  This hairstyle is a great choice for those with longer hair or willing to experiment with extensions.  This is a very elegant look and should only be worn with appropriate face shapes.  The dark rooted highlights at front add a bit more substance to this simple yet elegant hairstyle.

Here is another perfect updo for prom.  This tightly pulled back bun is sure to stay in place while you dance the night away.  This updo allows for just enough room on the top of the head to place that crown as well!

If you are looking for something a little less elegant for prom then look no further than this messy updo.  This is a simple style that can be customized to fit your personality.  The soft strands frame the face and provide an ultra flirty appeal. 

If elegance and sophistication is more your style, then perhaps this is a suitable updo for your wedding or prom.   This is a retro type feel but with a modern braided touch.  The updo is lifted high and wrapped tightly in a volumized bun.  The lift allows the diamond earrings to be on display but do not take away from the precision of the hairstyle.  She is probably using extensions which we encourage you to try as well.  Your hairstylist will know you best and can provide insight on if they are right for you.
