The 2011 Golden Globes Awards featured a number of dazzling updo hairstyles. We expected the updo to be the dominating hairstyle at this year's awards and we were not dissapointed. There were some new styles as well as some old favorites. Below we've ranked the top 10 updos of the evening.
#10 Lea Michele wearing a messy half up half down updo. Notice the how gorgeous tendrils are perfectly placed to accentuate her face shape.
#9 Jennifer Love Hewitt wearing a messy bun. She has certainly shed the weight and looked fabulous at the awards. Jenny Love also fashioned a diamond clip which added elegance to her stunning neckline.
#8 Natalie Portman wearing a twist updo. Admittedly before the awards, Natalie was already going to be on this list. She wears an updo as well as any celebrity right now. This was a new look for Natalie and it suits her perfectly. She was perfectly elegant and her updo topped off the beautiful look. The extra glow from her pregnancy and engagement certainly helped as well!
#7 Emma Stone wearing a sleek updo. The updo draws attention to her stunning earrings which were the focal point of this outfit.
#5 Claire Danes side swept updo. Loose updos were the theme of this year's awards and Claire wore this updo to perfection. A perfectly elegant look that was fitting for the night.
#4 Eva Longoria high twist updo. Eva is no stranger to the updo and this one she puts up high to show off her neck tatoo. This newly single diva looked stunning in the black dress
#3 Jennifer Lopez classic ponytail updo. J-Lo kept it simple with this classic look. The simple hair placed the focus on the beautiful diamond earrings. Simple, yet elegant, which defines J-Lo to the T.
#2 Mila Kunis wavy updo which was loosely pulled back. Plenty of volume on the top made it one of our favorites of the night.
#1 Scarlet Johansson wavy bun updo was our absolute favorite of the evening. Scarlet never disappoints when it comes to updos and this evening was no different. The diamond clip holding up the bun may be a trend setting style and accessory for 2011. This hairstyle is graceful, elegant and fun all in one. We can't imagine anyone wearing this updo hairstyle better than Scarlet.
Many other celebs fashioned some georgous updos and those that deserve honorable mention include Carrie Underwood for her elegant updo and Kelly Osbourne for her wavy updo. Helena Bonham Carter also turned heads as usual with her wild funky updo.
Overall the updo trend of the night included many wavy hairstyles and elegant formal looks. There were a number of messy updos as well as some elegant buns as well. Many of the updo hairstyles were accessorized with clips, adding to the beauty.
